Spinal Flow Technique

I am excited to now be Certified in Spinal Flow Technique! It is an innovative therapy developed by a chiropractor and it combines aspects of several modalities. Like craniosacral therapy (see below) it is both gentle and powerful at the same time. I call it craniosacral therapy on steroids because it is designed to accelerate your body's healing process and get you amazing results in a relatively short span of time.
Over time, layers of stress from injuries, emotions, and chemicals accumulate along the spine. By encouraging the flow of cerebrospinal fluid, your body can work on removing these “blockages”, which enhances the body’s ability to function properly and heal. By easing restrictions in the head, neck, and spine, it can soothe pain and release both emotional and physical stress and tension.
Spinal Flow is relaxing, extremely gentle and can be used for babies, children and people of all ages. The procedure itself is much like acupressure and involves light to moderate pressure mainly on the sacrum and tailbone areas. Clients remain clothed during the session. Loose stretchy clothing works best.
Consider trying it if you suffer from things like:
Your first session consists of an intake, assessment, and a healing session. Allow 45-60 minutes. $120
Follow up sessions are usually in a group room of 2-3 people and last around 30 minutes. $60
Typically a series of 10-12 sessions are recommended at a rate of 2 or more sessions per week. Remember, you probably have several years worth of built up stress! So structuring it this way helps your body catch up.

CranioSacral Therapy
Craniosacral therapy is one of my favorite techniques to give or receive! I love it because it is so gentle and powerful at the same time. Plus you feel fantastic after a session! It is sometimes also referred to as cranial sacral therapy, or CST. It’s a non-invasive type of bodywork that can help any number of conditions.
Through the gentle manipulation of the bones in the skull, spine, and pelvis, it is thought that the flow of cerebrospinal fluid in the central nervous system can be normalized. This removes “blockages” from the normal flow, which enhances the body’s ability to function properly and heal.
By easing restrictions in the head, neck, and spine, it can soothe pain and release both emotional and physical stress and tension.
Craniosacral therapy is super relaxing, extremely gentle and can be used for people of all ages. Clients remain clothed during the session.

Lymphatic Drainage
Are you feeling tired all the time?
Try Lymphatic Drainage Massage to improve your immune system, boost your energy levels, and reduce fatigue. It is also a well-documented aid to recovering from surgery and can help you recuperate from illnesses, or keep your system well-prepared during cold and flu season.
Why is moving the lymph important to our body?
The lymph system is a filter for your body that houses wastes, viruses, bacteria, toxins, and mutant cells. It's like a sewer system for your body. And just imagine what happens if the sewer system gets backed up!
This light and gentle massage technique is incredibly relaxing. Extra focus is paid to areas with a high concentration of lymph nodes such as the underarm and hip-crease regions.
It is recommended that you get a series of lymphatic drainage sessions for maximum effect. For surgery recovery, coming ahead of time for a few sessions is also beneficial.
Suggested number of visits each week:
1. First week: 2 sessions
2. Second week: 2 sessions
3. Third week: 1 session
4. Fourth week: 1 session
5. Fifth week: 1 session
6. Sixth week: 1 session
Why do we need to manually move the lymph system?
Basically, because we are too sedentary in our lifestyle. This system does not have a pump (like the heart pumping the blood). It moves with our movement. When we encourage it to move, it does a better job of taking out waste materials that could be detrimental.
We can help our lymph system by drinking plenty of water, keeping the lymph more fluid, so that it doesn't become sludgy. We can also get plenty of exercise, including using a mini trampoline or by gently bouncing up and down from the toes. Another well-known method is dry skin brushing, using a soft but moderately firm bristle brush directly on the skin, starting at the extremities and working toward the heart.

Acupressure Facelift
Acupressure Facelift is a gentle, non-invasive approach to looking younger! Fine lines may be eliminated and deeper wrinkles diminished. Bags under the eyes can be reduced, droopy eyelids lifted and double chins minimized.
The broad effects of the acupressure points also have a balancing effect on the entire body. Several clients have commented on the profound peacefulness of the session and another said it helps clear out the chaos in her head.
Moderate pressure is applied with the fingertips or gemstones into key areas of the face and neck. This helps stimulate blood flow and collagen production. The result is firmer face muscles supporting the skin, producing tighter facial tone and a more youthful appearance.
A study of this technique involving 300 cases showed that 90% of those treated had marked beneficial results with only one course of treatment.
For best results, a course of treatment generally consists of 12 sessions administered once weekly. The benefits can last 2-5 years. Periodic top-up treatments can be useful to extend effects or achieve a bright, healthy glow for special occasions.
